About Us - Our Mission

I spent over 20 years as a business leader, specializing in top-tier customer service at an enterprise level. When I decided to open a pet service business, what better name could I choose than that of our beloved former head of household, Duke—the chocolate Labrador.

Duke lived to be almost 16 and spent his last decade in our all-brick interior/exterior home, which we always called “Duke Manor.” This is the origin of our business name, chosen in his honour. We hope the love and care we provide to your beloved companion will help them enjoy a long and happy life—just like Duke did.

In July 2025, I made the heartfelt decision to shift my focus toward something deeply meaningful—providing exceptional care to pets and peace of mind to the people who love them. At our core, we are a community of like-minded pet lovers who understand that not every dog thrives in a traditional kennel setting. While kennels offer valuable services, some pets—and their owners—simply need a different kind of care.

Like many pet owners, we found ourselves asking, “Who can we truly trust to care for our pets and enter our home while we’re away?” It’s a responsibility that’s not easy to pass off, and we don’t take that trust lightly.

Our mission is to offer a mature, reliable, and compassionate alternative for pet care—one rooted in the same love and attention we give our own animals. Whether it’s in-home visits, private boarding, or simply spending quality time with your pet, we’re here to ensure you feel confident and secure every step of the way—because your pets deserve nothing less than the care you would give them yourself.

We are a new business, but not new to exceptional pet care and top-notch customer service. We began this journey to provide a much-needed service for a pet-loving community who, like us, struggle with the idea of kenneling their dog or leaving them at a crowded daycare. Our focus is on quality over quantity, offering personalized care for your beloved companion—just as we would want for our own.
